Twitter founders start “Medium”

The founders of Twitter are at it again: Evan Williams and Biz Stone are in the process of creating “Medium” and are now offering a preview. Of the new social media tool, it is said: “We’re rethinking publishing and building a new platform from scratch.”

So, what exactly does that mean for the public? Anyone with a Twitter account can currently access parts of the puzzle that will eventually make up Medium.  Right now, that essentially only enables you to read the introduction from Evan Williams and view a few preview pages. These pages are called collections, in which you will later be able to create your own or post on others pages.

What about businesses? It remains to be determined how this will affect the ever-expanding world of social media marketing and the tools already out there. Of course, here at ZOG we are curious how we can add this new platform into our social media mix. Once the ball gets rolling and the whole site is unveiled, we’ll definitely update you on the best ways to utilize it!
